I mean.... There is a REASON why the Holy Trinity is made of 3 black and white covers... She knows what she's doing. :trollga:

The dot of red on BTW to signify it's the mother G.O.A.T :trollga:

Chromatica number 1 definetely. The only Gaga album she really get out of her comfort zone and explore the new planet, expressing new approach to the composition structure and her vocals, adding the unexpected layers. When I first heard Alice I was like WTF. I have never been more suprised of her singing. The first single choice just killed the album. and Covid ofc.

Stupid Love and ROM are sooo average safe choices comparing to classic bop like Babyloon or Replay. Even the videos suffered the lack of any interesting idea or concept although Chromatica graphically was a stunner. So weird as for Gaga standards.

Sour Candy as the first single would smash hard eating break the soul as a starter. Missed chances from Gaga team. She came up with brilliant conceptual album penetrating euro dance and house era, really renovates the genres.

Even Dawn of Chromatica with all the talented fantastic musicians from alternative scene is amazing set of music. I felt like she was growing as an artist that era.

But Mayhem is a step back. Disease and Abra are the best singles choice she ever did. Only Killah came strong with the Mayhem release. The rest is just some echo from the past, repetetive and bringing some teenageresque cliches. So dissapointed. Im happy she did well comercially with this one, but dont feel this era at all.

The dot of red? The stigmata of pop. She sacrificed for our sins (and gave us synths) :trollga:

Gosh imagining what that era could have been without Covid and Alice and Babylon as singles with a video :traumatica: I loved the moment ROM had though. :lolly:

Agree to disagree on Mayhem :sharon:

Honestly, I can break it up into three trinities

The Fame Monster - ARTPOP - Chromatica: My all-time favorites. If you're to ask me my favorite Gaga album, it will be any of these.

Joanne - A Star Is Born - Mayhem: The first two are what started my Gaga fandom. The latter is what got me back into my Gaga fandom (I never stopped being a fan, but had a year or two where I was listening to other artists more)

The Fame - Harlequin - Born This Way: All three are really unique times in Gaga's career (one being her debut, one being her dive into traditional pop, and one being a dive into pop mixed with various other genres), and I don't revisit them as often as the other six. But there are still certain songs from each that I absolutely adore!

Born this way, ARTPOP, Mayhem. I was split between ARTPOP and TFM, but AP was probably the most inspiring album of hers ever for a visual artist/designer.

However I'd say Mayhem and BTW are her two magnum opuses and some of the best crafted albums of all time.
