I don't really watch horror movies BUT my favourite movie I was obsessed with as a teenager and still love to this day is Ginger Snaps. It holds a special place in my heart. And I could probably still recite most of the lines to this day :laughga:

The other one is definitely The Substance. I saw it twice in theatres which I've never done before and about 6 times since. I just love it so much

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I just watched it for the first time a week ago and I loved it! Easily one of the best films I have seen in a while haha

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

It's too hard to narrow it down but maybe one of these:

Evil Dead 2013

Scream 4

The Shining

The Strangers

The Conjuring

Oh no way! Noone ever knows of Ginger Snaps, it's so underground. When I first saw it it was around 2006 so I was like 14 and super depressed so it really hit lmao. I remember getting my dad to import the trilogy box set on DVD from Canada for my birthday and I spent hours learning how to region unlock my computer so I could rip it to my ipod video :laughga:  now THAT makes me feel old as ****.. but it definitely hit different being so close to the time period it was set. A lot of people say Ginger Snaps walked so Jennifer's Body could run

The second movie is really good too. Totally different but definitely worth a watch. Tatianna Maslany is in it as a kid. I never heard her name again until years later when she started getting a tonne of praise for Orphan Black. I started watching Orphan Black and saw a Bailey Downs sign and freaked out. Turns out it's set in the same universe and directed by the same guy who did GS. Random fun fact for you idk why I just can't shut up about this movie :laughga:

I had no idea the series had this much lore :laughga: I watched a bunch of those older horror flicks where the cast is in high school/college and there is a murderer on the loose and this one is up there among the best (even though it's not necessarily a killer but you get the point :ladyhaha:). The humor is there, and the main characters are really interesting. I don't know if the director wanted it to be super important for the plot, but the whole puberty storyline was intriguing and the way the mother handled her two daughters was really refreshing. I don't think I saw a horror film where the mom was that nice and understanding and let their daughters do whatever they liked. I like when horror movies have these underlying themes that we can discuss once the movie is over.

I saw that there was a 2nd and a 3rd part and I will definitely watch them soon. Thanks for the fun facts! I have no idea that Orphan Black was in the same universe. Might give it a watch when I am done with my horror movie marathon
