I don't even care about how many variants an album has anymore these days. People have free will to use their money how they want. Taylor Swift doesn't control her fans money or force them to buy these things. If fans can't afford it or don't agree with it, they shouldn't purchase it.

Those are judgements tho lol. People don’t HAVE to buy. It’s fine. What’s pathetic and embarrassing is you’re on a lady Gaga fan-site judging TS for her monetizing her art. #h8er if Gaga had 30 variants it’d be fine. Nobody cares

The way this wouldn’t happen with Gaga because she didn’t even release single CDs

Charging 8$ on voice recordings that could be just uploaded to youtube all together as a cute bts documentary of the creation of the album is a choice.

I wonder how much time can she keep milking her fans... At some point they'll have to run out of money :icant:

Even if I had lots of money I would just choose some variants that Gaga releases... For example, I'd buy one of each album cover but I wouldn't choose the pink vinyl with the standard cover, pink just doesn't make sense to me for this album... that would've been great for Chromatica but Swifties buy everything and not just 1 copy of each :icant:

You don’t get it. It’s all opinion lol. Who even cares? Live and let live bro. She’s not a part of a genocide or defunding public broadcasting or some ACTUAL important life-threatening issue. It’s just an artist capitalizing on their current popular art. It’s meaningless lol

Collectively putting a light on shitty practice might help other people realize this is just lame. She can release whatever she wants, but saying it is not calculated to hit into her young fanbase which doesn't know better is just being ignorant for sake of loving the artist or toxic positivity. If you want an echo chamber of love to Taylor, visit her website maybe. You don't have to be angry at people not buying her bs.

Have y'all heard some of these memos? :air:

Idk what's more embarrassing...the memos themselves, the fact that she thinks people should have to pay to hear them, or the fact that people ARE paying to hear them :air:

You're stinky

To me it’s artistic integrity lol like girl drop an album and leave it at that. All this extra **** just says you didn’t make *the album and made an incomplete work kinda like video games with excessive DLCs that quite literally have story features in them. It’s not about people spending money on it, that’s not my business. But I think as far as artistic integrity goes, it just lacks

sorry but its not as black and white as that, she's blatantly taking advantage of fan's excitement and pressuring them to buy these albums by only giving them 6 HOURS to decide if they want it or not

like lets not be dense here, it's so transparent and so twisted

mother, what must i do?

What I said is the opposite of dense. It's straightforward. If a fan thinks they need absolutely ever since piece of merchandise, that is their decision

Taylor doesn't control their money, but for some reason she droplet the content that could easily fit on deluxe edition and now makes the flash deals lol :ohwell: People are careless with money, nothing new, but does it takes away from the fact Taylor is exploiting hers audience? The conversation is much more, there are faults on both consumer and the seller sides.

but you cannot deny she is taking advantage of fan culture to pressure them into buying it

you're acting like it's a simple case of choosing to buy it or not, that's not true. it's a TIME LIMITED release in which you have to buy it now or never again

to act like it's a simple choice is dense. mayhem's variants were a case of either grab it now or come back later, the only difference being cosmetic or KFL/CSTH

these variants have the marketing of "act fast before it's gone!!", pressuring fans to purchase yet another copy

mother, what must i do?
