"The Fate of Ophelia,” which arrives as the 1,184th No. 1 in the Hot 100’s history, drew 92.5 million official streams and 38.5 million radio airplay audience impressions in the United States Oct. 3-9. It, like all tracks from The Life of a Showgirl, has no sales counting toward the list, as they were not available for purchase individually during the album’s first week of release.

I love the lead single, maybe tracks 1-2. However, as a fan speaking, this album is really not good for me. The lyrics was so cringey.

At least she didn't throw in single CDs or small vinyls... and even on streaming there is only one version, no extended, no instrumental, no sped up, no whatsever version like other artists desperately put on spotify to increase their numbers. So these numbers must come from a huge audience streaming the song. And the song might have become an earworm for many people. Yeah, the album as a whole might not be as good as other albums from her, but it has a few bops and Ophelia is one of them
