FFXIV WhiteMage 6,001
The first day will be big since there's a lot of uproar on social media, but unlike the previous albums, it's quite a mixed reaction hence I predict a steep decline and not so good longevity. Except for Fate of Ophelia and Opalite, she can bank on those two singles to carry the album.

She should’ve kept it as the non-explicit version and use check instead

Idefix1999 112
I went to the cinema listening party yesterday. After listening to the album in the morning I liked the first three tracks, Wood and Cancelled. The music video for TFOO is her best video in a long time and it really matches the "Showgirl" theme. The explanations for every song made me understand some of the calmer songs more. It's not about the life of a showgirl you see onstage, but rather what goes on backstage, that it isn't all glittery and colourful and jazzy with jewelry and feathers. I was also a bit disappointed that the music didn't sound as much showgirl-ish as the covers and photos seemed to promise, but as the songs were written backstage on The Eras Tour I can get what "The Life of a Showgirl" could be about. Besides Wish List and Honey I think the other songs are good, some are great. It isn't her best album and I can understand that not everyone likes it. I imagined the album being called "Opalite" and somehow the songs would still work. I'm looking forward to seeing another tour, as my Vienna concert got cancelled. We definitely shouldn't expect a Showgirl Tour a la Kylie Minogue, but I think a tour with this album would still work great.

I didn't miss any of the b!tches-lyrics since all the songs worked well (or even better?) without them. The only change that was worse was changing "tighs" to "skies" in Woods.
