one video does not an album explain. the video also barely ties into the song she's singing ... yes it starts with her as a portrait of ophelia and ends with her in a bathtub but the entire message of the video is "i am performing my life and then i am in the bathtub". this is a message we already got when she explained the album cover, it's a bit of a pity she feels a need to be so literal constantly. it could have been so much more too. and no, no amount of videos could ever made "WOOD" work as a song, sorry.

there are definitely some great visuals in the video though, i love the swimming costume part.

father figure is also nice if you can get past that awful d*** lyric. it's especially nice because it's one of her rare songs that isn't about love.

be grateful, it was kind of scammy to charge money from her fans just to show them content that will be available online for free in literally 48 hours ....  if she truly cared about her fans she would have hosted these for free and sent invites to fans who pre-ordered the vinyl or something. gaga literally invited me to a launch party for harlequin in London where she talked about the album and danced just for buying vinyls on her website... taylor truly could have privatized theaters for fans.

And you were right to, it's an awful line. there are some genuinely awful lyrics on this album ... "bring me a best friend who i think is hot", "it's kind of making me wet"... and the entirety of wood is beyond salvation. Considering TTPD had some truly gorgeous lyrics, these lyrics are really hard to swallow. But the rest of the Father Figure lyrics are actually pretty decent.
