I thought Antonoff was the problem as I disliked all of her albums since Lover. I was semi excited because this one was produced by Max Martin and Shellback again (Reputation and 1989 are my favourite albums from her), but it turns out to be another boring, overwritten snore-fest. Opalite is the only song I really liked.

I’m so strange with first listens because what happened with TTPD for example was that I did not feel the vibe initially and then it became one of my top album or hers.

So based on the my first listen of TLOAS: it was more confident and explicit than I’ve expected, but sound-wise surprising. I need more listens to have a well rounded opinion but my favs so far are The Fate Of Ophilia, Eldest Daughter and CANCELLED!

Max Martin really walked in the studio, did the bare minimum and called it a day. Those drum and bass productions are TERRIBLE. I wish I could hear Opalite sang by ABBA tho. The base of the song is good, but it lacks a PUNCH. God her voice is boring...
