Elohim 1,839
I heard some of the leaks, kinda disappointed imo its not like “bad” but it’s definitely “safe”.. I was hoping it’s gonna have some jazzy-showgirl elements, some live instruments, trumpets and sh*t… I rly don’t get why would she put on these kind of visuals with almost zero context to the production if the album, it would be like if Doja take the visuals from Vie and used it for Planet Her, like what?
Psyduck 1,596
It's not bad. It's actually better than MBF, and her last 3albums lol. Standouts for me are The Fate of Ophelia, Wood, and Ophalite. I still prefer 1989 over this tho. destructivelove 563
It's definitely a lot less adventurous or grand than I was expecting overall. It's very light rock pop. Not a huge departure from distinct Taylor sound as reputation. Elizabeth Taylor is a bop! TFOO feels like an odd choice for first single, just imo there's songs that feel more radio friendly. But overall radio will spam her no matter what, so I guess it doesn't really make a huge difference.
Ladle Ghoulash 26,986
Okay, so I haven’t heard the “diss track” about Charli, but I’m a little confused about why Taylor would feel like she needed to respond to Sympathy is a Knife. The song is literally about Charli getting imposter syndrome around Taylor and needlessly comparing herself to her which is…if not a compliment, is certainly not an insult lmao. Like what’s the tea? It just makes perfect sense for the album title, working Max Martin, how the world perceives her vs how her fans perceive her, craving fame but also hating it - it all goes together so well EXACTLY LIKE THIS COVER IS ON PAR WITH REPUTATION

GrandeAvenue 107
Somehow this album feels like Jack Antonoff made it. The boringness is still lingering in the air.

Charli admits that there’s no point in the comparison in Sympathy is a Knife, but she can’t help but feel the anxiety anyway, so I feel like anything less than consolation is just trying to gin up controversy. But I won’t know until I hear the song ofc We have forgotten our public MANNERS
