Should Gaga have split herself into two?

After ARTPOP, I think gaga should have rebranded as not one but two stars: Lady and Gaga

Cheeck to Cheeck should have been Tony Bennet & The Lady, also Joanne. Imagine "xoxo, Lady"

and the OG LG5 could have still survived this if she released it under her Gaga persona

 

also this would let her both be authentic/relatable (the lady side) and crazy (gaga side)

But I do think she more or less split herself in two, moving forward from ARTPOP.

I don't consider Joanne, Cheek to Cheek, Love For Sale, A Star Is Born or Harlequin to be "Lady Gaga" albums

Those are all Stefani Germanotta side-projects in my mind.

Tbh I feel like a split is way too harsh, like just attempting to squeeze your art into those two separate boxes/labels seems like it would be very limiting as an artist.
