Yeah I find it fascinating. I feel that she was supposed to go more R&B Pop instead of releasing Born This Way. I fully expected songs like all the leaked demos from that time, from Out Of Control to Reloaded, No Way and so on.

Then with ARTPOP, she might’ve tried to go back to that kind of sound but even harder (Red Flame, Ratchet, Hallelujah, Cake Like Lady Gaga) until the album became more EDM-driven. And then she fully abandoned that route.

Yeah it’s really interesting how much of her early unreleased had an RnB sound (ugh shoutout to No Way; my baby) to it and then TFM took off so hard that it basically brought the europop trend to America and put her in that lane instead. It kinda makes you wonder what the mayhem unreleased is like bc the 50 songs she’ll do for an album usually are pretty varied and are for the purpose of finding the sound she wants to release.

it would have been cool to see but we’d also have never gotten born this way since it was inspired by TMB and I think this show would have been a little less queer safe space that TMB became. So in a way it kinda feels like it was a crossroads thing: either she didn’t tour and became the Gaga we know or she did and her artistic output and legacy changed drastically. I think imo I’m content with where we landed (duh I’m here lol) but yeah…what an interesting concept

Yeah you're right, we wouldn't have had the era BTW... Then it's a good thing that it didn't happened. :smh:

I hope that one day she will collab with Tyler, The Creator. It would be a dream collab ! :enigma:

I remember being devastated it got cancelled because I had snatched tickets, but WHOA LAWD, thank goodness it did. Gave us TMB, who knows what would have been with it having gone on.

I think the Mayhem demos would potentially be more of the Industrial/Grunge stuff since we know she went down a rabbit hole with them at one point and had to pull back. Like that sound is the minority of Mayhem tracks on the official release so I'd guess it is a bigger part of the vault than the disco funk sound we got more officially released for

Unpopular opinion :

Kanye wasn't problematic as he is today. He collaborated with Rihanna, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, etc... And no one blame them for this.

I'm just really surprised they never released a song together around that time
I still sometimes listen to this

Roughhouse Dandy

In a world where we never lost Kanye to his various maladies this tour never happening would be one of the great tragedies in my life. I 100% believe this concert would've been talked about for decades. The music, the fashion, the artistry, the theatre of it all, the concept, everything would've been immaculate.

For the best now I guess 🥲

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

Here is the only canonic song Gaga and Kanye released together :

 :ohwell:

Baby Gaga's voice era and 2010s Kanye master of the sampling art could have released a huge banger for sure :laughga:

praise the Lord and all physical and spiritual entities that set Gaga free from the burden of having this [multiple censored swearing] as an artistic partner

she had enough having to deal with the backlash after working with R.(ape) Kelly, imagine if she TOURED with a black nazi lol the amount of political illiteracy and insanity bundled together in that head

the only people that still care about him or give him any praise are his cult minded fans who act as ill as Andrew Tate teen followers

I don't think that she'd have been saddled with this today had the tour gone on.

The big difference is here is she was going to be working with Kanye before he went completely off the deep end. He'd done some shitty and controversial things, but nothing near the level of Nazi apologism and such. That happened long, long after this moment. Even post-VMA controversy, it was treated as a sort of anomaly in his behavior.

She worked with R. Kelly nearly 15 years after credible accusations of sexual assault and entanglements with underage girls became public.
