So just to point out, beyond the obvious, Trump is making at least two basic mistakes, out of his boundless ignorance:

1. Cable channels don't have licenses to pull. Even a completely corrupted FCC (which we appear now to have) can only regulate broadcast stations. Trump has demonstrated more than once that he doesn't understand this.

2. Trump thinks the Fairness Doctrine is still a thing. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_doctrine ) This is what he's hinting at when he says that 97% (his imaginary number) negative coverage of him is "not allowed", and that would be the basis for the license pulling. In reality, the Fairness Doctrine has been dead since 1987, and it may not surprise you to hear, it was conservatives that killed it.

But instead they chose the path of least resistance—well guess what? The left is boycotting you now so they’re gonna lose a crap ton of money anyway.
