RainOnGaga 201 Posted yesterday at 11:59 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:59 AM Juan Santana, great-nephew of JuliĂĄn Santana, the man responsible for the dolls placed on the Doll Island in Mexico, shared a little about the process of producing the music video for "The Dead Dance", by Lady Gaga: âAs fascinating as the legend are the details of the making of the video, which were a top secret even for Santana. 'We didn't even know who was coming (... ) Actually, they didn't let us be here', Juan explains. Through intermediaries, Burton and Gaga's team negotiated the island and surrounding properties for three days. Not only did they pay for it, they also donated dozens of dolls and supplies to keep the site going. A team of more than 60 people arrived in 18 trainers (good ones) with all elements of production. [... ] It was three days between installation, filming and dismantling in which private guards blocked the access of curious people and made sure that besides music, which sometimes sounded loud, no one knew what was being filmed there. â 8

Killa 17,612 Posted yesterday at 04:01 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:01 PM Gaga keeeps having an immaculate record. I fear that they probably used 80 percent of the budget on the location and trasportation

I know but the video is so simple and there's only 4 dancers I would expect 60 people for a MV like Marry The Night, but not this one đ
StrawberryBlond 14,910 Posted yesterday at 05:11 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:11 PM Wonder if they were the dolls she slapped?  I did think it was weird that she did that and maybe it was because they were her donations and thus couldn't be cursed (yet)!

Although im not surprised it took 60, if i had guessed without knowing id have guessed a lower number
