Was “Dead Dance” worth getting no other single?

In other words...would I have preferred another song to be a single instead...yes

I believe Shadow of a Man or Garden of Eden should have been singles with a video and all but Gaga is already on tour and any other promo would have to be based on opportunity and streaming

Wednesday is very popular and naturally ANY song Gaga would've used in the show would've gotten some traction but its overall not a bad song but just not probably what most fans were expecting and the video also was pretty forgettable imo and the shots felt very rushed and amateurish...kinda strange from Tim Burton where he literally makes everything look like Gothic dreams...

Shallow 0.5 = Million Reasons
Shallow 1.0 = Shallow
Shallow 1.5 = Always Remember Us This Way
Shallow 2.0 = Die With A Smile
Shallow 3.0 = Vanish Into You

Honorable mention: Hold My Hand. She tried.

They’re all love ballads that are/ could be successful with the general public.

OOOO that all makes sense!

So For mayhem to only have 2 actual album singles is not crazy.  DWAS doesn’t count to me because it was a single BEFORE it was on mayhem and was originally NOT apart of mayhem.

DWAS was always meant to be on MAYHEM, whether you like it or not...

And Gaga said it wasn’t apart of LG7 and was a stand alone single, when she and Bruno first released it

so who do you believe

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I think not releasing Zombieboy as a single for Halloween was a misstep. The Dead Dance should have just been a promo single for Wednesday followed by Zombieboy as an actual single. A cute combo music video could have served them both.

Her team sort of tried with the TUDUM performance, but the public didn't exactly respond. :huntyga:

Also "HBDUWM" was a radio single in my country and other selected markets too. @Controversiaga

And do you think TDD video is worth having instead of a video for one of the other mayhem tracks? :max:

Well you don’t know what kind of video we would have gotten 😭 it’s not bc TDD video is not amazing that another one would have been better

I think they would've cannibalized each other. They're both spooky, gothic disco/funk songs, and releasing them as singles so close to each other would've divided people's attention. She could've just used Zombieboy as both promo for Wednesday and for a Halloween single, but TDD fills that spot perfectly fine imo. Also, even though Zombieboy is one of my favorite tracks on MAYHEM, I think TDD is a catchier, more "GP-friendly" song.

I would have love for vanish into you to be a single and have its Moment. But Just announcing It as a single get a cover and maybe Release physicals, which theyre not doing isnt enough.

We can appreciate the Songs we love, a single has to sell otherwise whats the point. Every single took a whole country to be released. The streams of the other Song Simply didn't exploded, nothing you can do.

I think vanish into you or how bad do you want could be hits but for the songs to cute through the noise It really Is necessary a huge investment which May not pay off.

I think everyone is kinda going off of typical album cycles - but I think she is kinda playing the long game here. She has a tour to keep people interested in.

we could get another single and even a long shot - what if we got another song or two? Either way - I could see her closing with Vanish Into You or How Bad Do You Want Me or my personal favorite - LoveDrug

so who do you believe

They said that Bruno called Gaga... She arrived late by night and they give Gaga the idea of DWAS and she immediately started writing the musical scales of it. They were gagged with her skills.
