I've found that these days, I seek new music way less than when I was younger, and kinda rotate songs I already know. I kinda wanna break this habit, but I find searching for new music sooo tedious, and would love to hear any recommendations you guys may have!

As for what I've been listening to:

One of my favourite artists this year have been Fontaines D.C., an Irish rock band with tons and tons of bops, personal favs in spoiler tag:

Spoiler

Personal favourites are:

Bug

Televised Mind

Roman Holiday

 I Love You

In the modern world

Starburster

Jackie Down The Line

I've also had NIN's most popular songs on repeat this year, such as closer, head like a hole, the hand that feeds, every day is exactly the same etc - I would love any more recommendations of NIN songs for those Nine inchsters on this forum!

Other artists I've had on repeat:

Tyla (Is It, MR MEDIA) and Addison :Lurk:

I pretty much like every genre, except country basically:lana:

Also, shoutout to Ruby Roberts, her song got some exposure on TikTok recently and My Endeavour is so good!! Lana and Suki waterhouse vibes for those who like that kind of sound:

I stopped discovering new music years ago, I just listen the same 10ish artist over and over, and I'm ok with that. It's not like those artist aren't active rn.

I've been listening to:

A lot of HAIM's I quit album! It's been on repeat since it's been out (standout songs are Down to be wrong, Lucky stars, Spinning, and Cry)

A lot of Kylie Minogue, specifically, Where the Wild Roses Grow (w/Nick Cave), Confide In Me, Dreams, and Cowboy Style

I've randomly been on a kick of listening to The Police and Sting. I've been obsessed with King of Pain and this song All For Love by Sting, Bryan Adams, and Rod Stewart

Obviously been on a Gaga kick all year and have recently been loving Can't Stop The High since it hit streaming!

Random Song Highlights: Delusional by Kesha, Everybody Scream by Florence + the Machine, David by Lorde, House Tour by Sabrina Carpenter, gossip by JADE and Confidence Man, Wasabi by Little Mix, Pale, Pale Moon from the Sinners soundtrack, It Never Rains in Southern California by Albert Hammond, The Steps by HAIM, Biology by Girls Aloud, I Don't Feel Like Dancin' by Scissor Sisters, Summertime by The Sundays, and Digital Love by Daft Punk

Actually American! I saw Scissor Sisters open for Kesha and have been diving into their hits, have been diving into Little Mix after becoming obsessed with JADE, stumbled onto Girls Aloud after a podcast I listen to kept bringing them up, and have been a Florence fan since my teens!

If you enjoy Girls aloud, you'll love the sugababes if you haven't already listened to them! They both dominated the uk charts around the same time, I'd recommend:

- Freak Like Me (my fav)

- Round Round

- Push the button

- About you now

- Hole in the head

- Overload (listen to the majestic remix if you prefer more dancey/upbeat songs)

Yasss you'll love their music, the sugababes and girls aloud also collabed and did a cover of 'walk this way' which is such hun behaviour - girls aloud's sound is more glitzy and girlie pop, and then sugababes feel more 'cool' and effortless but slay at the same time if that makes sense

Mostly Gaga tbh. And a lot of K3 (a Flemisch/Dutch girlgroup mainly making childrenpop, but wanted to start out as the Flemish Spice Girls) that now is in their 4th line up of singers, but the original 3 come back next month for reunion concerts. They have sold over 600.000 tickets just in Belgium and the Netherlands.

And hopefully soon Eurovision season starts again so I can listen to that
