It’s perfectly bittersweet—a nostalgic, timeless song that makes you feel happy and sad at the same time, like you are happy to love so deeply and sad your physical time on earth together is over. It quickly became my favorite song on the album and her career—it’s that good. Her acoustic performance of VIY on Colbert blew me away so I voted yes, as it is technically superior to Abracadabra. I had a feeling I would because the album version vocals are mixed loud compared to the instrumentals which sounds off to me. Vanish is overrated Good comparison actually I hadn't thought of the Stevie Nicks vibe! But for me LoveDrug is crying out for more embellishment. Like a big emotional guitar solo, a final chorus and a more imaginative outro etc. and I'd like more lyrics in the chorus rather than it just being the same line repeated.
