Ava scrapped 'My Oh My' from her album, then recorded new album with 'Spot a Fake' as lead and with slower songs but scrapped it later and instead of trying to do something new she decided to make a pop album with some scrapped songs from Diamonds & Dancefloors.

That’s because Cirkut, Madison, and her label forced her hand… they did something behind the scenes to stop her from dropping that album and the Spot A Fake video

in December she said the music video isn't ready yet and then it was scrapped because she moved to 'Lost Your Faith' next month. the video probably didn't turn out the way she wanted to, like her D&D visualizers, which mostly never saw the light of day except for short previews.
also Cirkut and Madison don't have any connections to Ava's label.

Cirkut and Madison are very big names in the industry. She made an entire diss album about them called Made From Scratch that was ready in the Fall.

This is a genuine shame as I'm not even a fan of her music but I thought Still Bad was a banger and deserved to be a huge hit. I still don't know why it didn't connect when it sounds like what the public love from her. And Love In Real Life sounded quite decent too. It's just typical that when I start liking her, she falls out of favour. To say her album is shelved "indefinitely" is a big deal. The reframing of this as "I wrote most of it some years ago and now it doesn't fit with today's landscape" is ridiculous. She's never say such a thing if those songs smashed. And to act as if she sat down her label and told them she was going to scrap it and move on and they agreed to her terms is ludicrous. Labels with sit YOU down and tell you what's happening, not the other way around. And labels will decide if you're releasing an album or not, many an artists has had to release an album they don't even like at their label's command because they were contractually obligated. Whatever the truth, this doesn't look good for her future career. This is not the way to build a loyal fanbase or public support. I predicted she'd be a one hit wonder from the start but she was able to extend it a bit but now she's hit a major rut in the road that's going to be difficult to get out of.

she is signed to Atlantic through Nice Life Recording - this is company of her main producer and close friend so it's possible that it was her decision.
Atlantic allowed Ava Max to release her “flop” album, so I don't think they would stop Lizzo from releasing.

Sometimes, labels will allow artists to release a blatantly flop album because they figure the situation isn't going to improve and there's nothing left to lose. But when it's an artist who's normally very successful but is inexplicably flopping, they attempt to fix things by delaying the album, changing tracklists, enlisting top songwriters to write a new song designed to be a hit and then try to reboot it. If they think it can be salvaged, they'll give it a second chance with a delay to fix things. But when it's clear that an artist isn't going anywhere, they just let them put out the album to get their contract over quicker and so when they drop them, they'll have a justifiable reason for it without being the bad guy.

I don’t mean this in a bad way but I feel like she alienated her core audience. let’s be real her main fanbase were the plus size community and soccer moms.

She really swayed away from being that confident plus size singer. Now she’s all about weight loss. Similar to Megan Trainer, they lost weight so now they’re just another artist except with under developed artistry.

Who even is Lizzo? All we know is that she is rude to her team, quit being a vegan and lost some weight?
