Jean Carroll. Why it matters: Trump has continuously fought the verdict, claiming that several lawsuits against him are politically motivated, with mixed success in court. What they're saying: "President Trump intends to seek review by this Court of significant issues arising from the Second Circuit's erroneous decision," the president's council wrote in an application to the nation's highest court. What's inside: The petition asked the court to grant the president an extension until Nov. 10 to formally ask for his case to be heard.
