I would guess this is about YouTube policy, the old video had blood and they are very strict about blood on the platform, that can lead to the video being age-restricted and it hurts the algorithm.

either it's a age restriction thing since she killed him OR she is going to change the ending every few days to get more views ith ppl going back to see if it changed or not. That's kinda a smart tactic tbh. Like filming tons of alternative endings and rotating them every few days. Sort of genius but kinda desperate too

This is a cool thing like a Clue movie had alternate endings on purpose and cinemas were randomly screening them all. Rihanna had two music videos in different aesthetics for same song with David Guetta. In the current dark era of music videos, this is fun.

Is it bad that at the same moment it can also bring more views? You used word genius and I agree.

I personally think two things can be true at the same time hence why i called it both genius and desperate. Genius in the sense that this is incredibly innovative and will drive up views by alternating the endings but also desperate as it is a clear marketing ploy to drum up the viewership for chart purposes. I don’t mind either thing and conclusion mind you. It’s both things  to me tbh.

I totally agree with you but instead of wording it with "desperate", I'd say "in seek of attention", which is, in fact, what a pop star ultimately means and has to be. I don't like her music at all and that will probably be forever the case, but I'll recognize she's got it. She's got that stardom fever in her, something not that common in pop scenario nowadays
