Her music is great because it resonates with the masses but her whole artistry is so damn bland. I like some Taylor song but wtf does she know about THEATER

Exactly. She’s a businesswoman first, and an artist second. That’s the only thing keeping me from becoming a true fan tbh. Because I do like her music but I absolutely HATE her as an artist lol

Because her music and look caters to the lowest common denominator. Easily digestible, inoffensive 'pretty' music about basic everyday things like relationships, that the average casual listener who doesn't rly like or understand real music can enjoy. Not all of her stuff is bad, but it's still NPC music imo.
