Even without hearing the song, they spilled lmao. I feel like I see this dynamic on here all the time between folks who listen to a lot of music from a lot of different eras and genres who tend to appreciate Gaga’s virtuosity vs. people who seem to only really like it when she fits into a fairly narrow niche and tend to only listen to the pop music of the past 20 years.

Ngl, this fanbase is notoriously bad when it comes to music references  They say it sounds like one thing, but when you actually hear it, you're like "Wtf was this person on?? It sounds nothing like that"

From the snippet, it definitely sounds funky—along the lines of Zombieboy and Kill For Love. And it's definitely infectious...I've been singing the chorus to myself for weeks now

I mean, I think it’s a bit of both tbh. Definitely has an 80s synth pop flavor with a dash of 90s girl group, 2010s synth pop revival, and a bit of Taylor on top.
