This is such a smart move for her. Releasing the other songs from Mayhem wouldn’t have the same impact now. Everybody has streamed them already.

I love the song and the video for the dead dance. It seems people are wanting abracadabra 2.0 but it would actually ruin abracadabra for me if she tried to replicate its energy. Let each song shine in its own right.

Performance uploaded for another Gaga/Cooper Shallow performance like moment. Super Bowl commercial advertising her tour documentary on Netflix releasing soon using Vanish Into You. Vanish Into You Tour video uploaded to advertise both the single and tour documentary. Music Video with Benson drops later. Gaga releases a Mayhem Remix album like Dawn of  with the collab at the end of May featuring mostly niche, underground, up and coming artists, legacy artists, as well as a select few major acts remixing her material. The artists are all from different races, sexualities, genders, and areas of the world. HBDUWM ft. Taylor Swift drops at the end of May for the remix album and a Pride themed music video. The era ends.

also can anyone correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure only a few of the shots are actually on doll island and the rest is a set?

I doubt any of the dolls she interacts with are actually on the island as that probably wouldn't be allowed? and it makes sense why at the beginning it cuts from her on the wall with dolls to a cut of her in front of the actual dolls on the island?

I read that they brought some of their own dolls for her to interact with, but not sure if that’s true or not.

No it’s all on location. They did have custom dolls made to use for the shoot though. The scenes in color look like a set though because the moon isn’t the real moon. I’m pretty sure it’s just a light. The moon wouldn’t capture on camera that large. The fake moon adds an uncanny feel to it. But we know the nightmare shots are on island because that was actually our first leak of the video happening was them being heard filming at night.

they're all brave as hell then bc i know the trees on that island are full of crazy spiders 

but also ik that was our first leak, i'm not saying they didn't film there, just that on a lot it seems they may have had an off site set maybe (also ik im probably wrong so ignore her)

 

edit: also i feel like a lot of the black and white was probably filmed during the day and the colour was shot at night?

I like it but I feel like with most of her songs lately I will really love parts of it and not really care for other parts of it. Does anyone else feel like that? I love the chorus and the bridge but the first verse doesn't suit the song I don't think, so it makes the whole song feel slightly off. Same with Vanish Into You, I think starting off with such raw vocals, while live sounds amazing, on the CD track could've been cool with a slightly vocoder type sound to make the vocals sound extra thick and slightly robotic and polished cause I kinda had a jump scare when that song played the first time

Breaking my silence:

So initially, I wasn’t a huge fan of TDD, and don’t even get me started on the video. I’ve been obsessed with La Isla de las Muñrcas in Xochimilco for decades! However the song didn’t really click for me in the beginning… However, I actually do enjoy it now. The only part that I wish was taken out was the “Do the Dead Dance” part in the bridge and it would’ve been perfect but oh well  I can still enjoy the song! 

The video is cute and better than what we’ve had before (million raisins, I’m looking at you), however with such an iconic and historic place, I truly was expecting more. Do I like it? I mean, I love dolls so yes, I’ll see those weirdly animated dolls, though I’m not rushing to show anybody else the music video
