I’d rather suffer with a Swiftie or Arianator than this lol

Nicki just promotes this sort of aggressive, attention seeking victim mentality in a lot of gay men - I’ve def noticed it for years.

What a performance

I see some truth in this but at the same time, you can form objective opinions about someone's artistry without endorsing their character. You can like a melody without liking the lyric. You can like an album without liking the artist.

me when i try to justify my crushes who are huge chris br*wn fans

I think being a Taylor Swift fan is more of a red flag.. I've had someone match with me and say "I hope you don't like Taylor swift" as his second message ..

I low key agree but at the same time supporting Nicki is definitely a red flag when it comes to morals, Swifties can be annoying but I can’t say Taylor is actually a terrible person while I can 100% say that about Nicki.

It’s the same as JK Rowling, people can say they’re separating her “artistry” from her views on trans people… but if you’ve gave her so much as $1 that’s 1 more dollar she had to fund anti trans foundations she now invests in so you yourself have invested in that whether you like it or not.

I’m currently struggling with this tbh, Harry Potter has helped me when I was at my lowest during my childhood and seeing her actively harming trans people hurts me because I don’t stand for that. I tired cutting off the franchise from my life for awhile but for some reason it always comes back to me. The franchise is just too huge and influential in our pop culture landscape nowadays it’s so hard for me to let go and forget. It’s been years since I bought official merch from Harry Potter and everytime when I plan on getting merch for my nieces and nephews who’s a huge Harry Potter fan I just gifted them my old merch instead. Moving forward I’ll try and avoid buying anything official from her brand and instead donate to some organisation who truly needed them like the Palestinian fund etc.

As it should be.

They're not just stans, which is bad enough, they are stans of a woman who's, quite frankly, trash.
