How did ARUTW become a sleeper hit?

Always Remember Us This Way is Gaga’s 4th most listened to song on Spotify, racking up more streams than even Bad Romance. This is despite not being played on radio or having award show performances like Shallow. I remember at the time of ASIB’s release, many of us were upset that her team wasn’t pushing ARUTW harder but nevertheless it has emerged as one of the general public’s most streamed songs. Your thoughts on how it has generated long lasting popularity seemingly on its own?

Wasn't it sent to Europe's radios?

I think it being on so many versions of The voice around the world helped.

And ASIB was seen by a ton of folk who from my own experience often remember ARUTW as much as shallow. It's a GP favorite like a Heavy metal lover will be our fan fav'.

It is huge in Brazil. It's the kind of music everyone of every age listens too. Housewives love it and I always hear it playing in the background of videos my mom watches on YouTube lol

It is one of her best records across all of her work. The writing is beautiful - it sounds and says and feels exactly how I think and experience love. Everyone ages but we stay the same person on the inside. When we are old and wrinkled we will still be the 20-30 year old at their peak and that is how we will see our partners too.

The reggae remix is Gaga’s most played and kinda only played song here in the Caribbean.
