What they're saying: "There will be more added to it as far as technology, cameras, sensors — we're also going to be painting it black," Noem said during a briefing in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. "That is specifically at the request of the president. When something is painted black, it gets even warmer, making it even harder for people to climb," she said. "We had an incredible amount of resources allocated to us in the big beautiful bill, because that's going to allow us to continue construction," Noem added. "Construction right now is at the pace of a little bit less than a half a mile a day. And the border wall will look very different based on the topography and the geography of where it is built." Knowing how the government spends money, they'll probably spend $50 on that same can. By my very elaborate and accurate count, totally not rounding numbers needlessly and assuming the worst, that's about $666,000,000 on paint Add in the $400,000,000 for the bureaucracy of it all...
