Wet Fire 7,825
Speak Now Red and 1989 jointly second. Both masterful pop records. I don't like Reputation. The production is very conventional, derivative and safe. Compared to Taylor's synth/electro contemporaries like Gaga and previous works by Britney or Madonna, Reputation sounds very mediocre. It's just a pop album catering to mass appeal. Folklore is not my type of music (not a fan of the type of pop music that focuses less on melody and more on ambience) but I do recognize it's a really great body of work and a reinvention done right. Evermore serves as a solid companion piece. Midnights, again, is a creative standstill. Nothing new here, more like a rehashing and amalgamation of her previous sounds. But unlike Mayhem, which seems to reheat the creative nachos while being extremely forward-facing and innovative, Midnights kind of just stays there, doesn't hint at anything fresh or new. Except Anti-Hero which is Taylor's best song since probably Blank Space. TTPD will age much metter than Midnights. It is a great body of work. The only glaring flaw is that it's too diluted. It needed to be more polished, edited. You don't need to release everything you record! Hoping TS12 brings back the good old pop bangers. Sorcerer 12,524
Red. Probably her strongest and most emotional melodies. Her most rock-inspired songs. Evermore is an underrated gem. Midnights and TTPD are her worst. Edited August 13 by Sorcerer 1

I love All Too Well though. I liked Out Of The Woods... my notes end there mother, what must i do?

This song in particular shows it. She plays with words and creates poetry with music. If you haven't listened to Folklore and Evermore, I recommend you listen to them. I don't know if you like their musical style (they are primarily classified as indie folk), but there are several poetic compositions, very well constructed, that are worth checking out!
