Why didn’t Gaga hit top 10 with Abra but Chappell and Sabrina do so easily

I never understood it tbh

Regardless of whether or not her songs hit #1 or struggle to hit the top 50, the woman basically has infinite money at this point so what does it matter?

All that number does is give people online weird, empty clout to say "my fave beat the competition" when music shouldn't even be a competition and the competition itself isn't even an accurate representation of the songs competing 'cause, as they've pointed out in the charts thread, if Abracadabra were released a few weeks later it would have been top 3 instead of missing the top 10 without a single extra stream :rip:

I could ramble for ages but I won't :icant:

Billionaires are a cancer. Even the ones you like.

It gets easier to handle once you realize Bad Romance didnt go #1 on the hot 100 (blocked by TiK ToK and Empire State of Mind), like, THE Bad Romance

happy 1k rep to me

Economy

Several unfortunate factors at once:

1. Lots of competition at the time. If im not mistaken Kendric was blocking up a lot of the top 10 at the time

2. The mid week release seriously hurt its debut because it didnt get a full tracking week

3. Radio peaked only after streams had seriously tumbled in USA

4. Abra did quite well in USA but as usual not quite as good as it did globally

Its a solid hit but not surprising it didnt go top 10 in Hot 100 when u factor all this in
