She don’t really say that if i remember correctly, the label was loving “i wanna be with u” because ballad where full hyped with adele and everything at this time and so she made dope like a provocation “ if you want a very sad ballad, let’s go for that”

Just my opinion but Dope is too personal and deep for the audience to fully connect with this song.

I Wanna Be With You was about her need to connect with her fans and the audience while performing after being obliged to cancel BTWB. I'm sure IWBWY would have been a fan fave + cult classic if she released this one. Anyway

Yeah, it was actually the other way around. She wrote IWBWY and her label wanted to promote a more digestible ballad as a single and it sounds to me like she rewrote it as Dope to tell them to **** off lol

I mean, tbf, I never doubted she’s do either of those. I just don’t see Dope as a song that would fit this section (hyping up the crowd, people dancing etc).
