HermesG 1,662
First albums was just ok.. i think the hot thing was just her attitude. Like a Prayer, La isla bonita, and then Vogue was her for ever stability in the forever Stardom. Bedtime story was a mediocre album with an excellent video. Her first serious HUGE thing was for real Ray of Light -the album- i thing is the most mature beautiful pop album ever. Music -the album- is a genius in production. The huge title hit -very good- was just the weakest song of a wonderful album. American Life. Great album. Americans wasn't ready for critic. Specially from a pop star. Confessions was magical. But the dvd was n is the best recorded pop concert EVER! Masterpiece. Hard Candy was an ok album but came after great albums. That was its weakness. After that, ALL WRONG Edited August 2 by HermesG

Smother Em Eh 7,132
RH is overhated. It’s not a bad album and it’s actually better than HC and MDNA Get Together is indeed one of her best songs! ROL is worthy of its reputation. It’s a solid album with its own unique sound and listening to it is such an experience. Love Profusion is such an underrated song Edited August 3 by Smother Em Eh Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views!

KevinWright 1,647
Take a Bow is one of the most beautiful ballads ever made Die Another Day is the best Bond theme ever Die Another Day is on of her best songs She is actually not that bad as an actress Music (album) is of her best works, many genres are compined together and the result is simply amazing. It should have the same treatment as ROL. Her latest works are bad. One of the main reasons is the overproduced/too rely on autotune voice

Lextyr97 19,979
-COAD is waaaaay overrated. The first four songs are fantastic and then it’s 6/10 at best from 5 through 12 -From Ray of Light onwards, Hard Candy is one of her best albums imo. I think it’s MOSTLY a bop start to finish. Dance 2Night is THATTTT GIRL. -I think she delivers some of her best vocals on Gone, and I wish she released more songs like that. -I physically cannot listen to anything prior to Ray of Light. I don’t like a single one of the albums lmao -Swim, Shanti, Candy Perfume Girl, and Skin are all boring ass songs -I think Drowned World is her best song ever

That’s why I think it’s so funny that she had the audacity to claim Gaga was “reductive” when she has, very successfully, emulated so many groundbreaking artists (Hagen, Jones, Harry etc) Madonna has never been shy about listing her influences or outright tributing one of them in the case of Material Girl video. She also never said Gaga was reductive, she said BTW is a reductive song. She had praised Gaga several times prior to that and has done so several times since. Little Monsters have rewritten the narrative around the beef to paint Gaga as a poor victim who was attacked in an unprovoked way but I was there and remember what actually happened. When Born This Way was released, Madonna initially made no comment at all but people started noticing on their own it's similarity to Express Yourself and Gaga was insecure about that which is why she refused to acknowledge Madonna as an influence during that rollout even though she had done so previously and was clearly a big fan. There are accounts from people who worked with Gaga that during the creation of Born This Way, she had been listening to Like a Prayer album. Gaga then proceeded to falsely claim Madonna had heard BTW before it's release and given it the green light when the copycat discourse refused to die down. After Madonna made the reductive comment, Gaga's team started shading Madonna on social media which prompted Madonna to play Express Yourself and Born This Way on the MDNA tour together which was the killshot. Ever since then Gaga has acknowledged Madonna's influence on the song and the two of them have been on seemingly good terms. Alfonso 1,551
- She's def the top tour act in America (in terms of putting up a show) - HC is not that bad of an album, nor is RH - Madame X was a terrible album, probably her worst ever, not even questionable. - While I do believe that things like ageism and the industry probably pushed her out/sabotaged her career or reputation to some degree, I do believe that her way of acting in the last decade or two haven't helped at all either; what I'm trying to say is that for someone so artistic and professional she started to focus and behaving in such an odd manner, which also seemed like it left her career on the second burner (she could have focused on doing more music, tours, having more presence or transitioning better into the streaming era, idk). - She should've toured more and done at least one proper stadium tour production in the last 10-20 years. - The Celebration Tour missed many iconic songs that shouldn't been included and included some that weren't even needed. - The halftime show could've been better and never should've had those guests. I would agree with this up until that health scare in 2023. She has acted and looked much more like her old self ever since then. I think something was seriously off with her for awhile, especially during Madame X and it's aftermath. I also disagree that she has left her career on the burner. They have been remastering her old videos online, she has significantly boosted her streaming presence with the remixes and that successful collaboration with The Weekend. Celebration Tour was also a massive success that concluded with a history making Rio show. Madonna is doing perfectly fine for a living legend with nothing to prove at this point. Any new music she decides to release from this point on should just be viewed as a treat because she has more than earned her right to never do anything music related again. Her legacy was secured ages ago. I really hope her new album with Stuart Price is good, it would be amazing for her to have one more artistic highpoint. Rebel Heart is a criminally underrated album btw, some of the filler just needed to be cut out. Anyway, Madonna’s “reductive” comment is still BS and the irony stands surrounding her, sometimes blatantly, ripping off other artists while having the audacity to claim that BTW was “reductive.” Appreciate the needless condescension and the lecture, though.
