Morphine Prince 106,247
It's their right to not work with artists who haven't publicly stated their position on an issue, but to publicly post this in order to coerce a reaction isn't right, in my opinion. Now it looks like "X person only spoke out because they were called out" The agency of X was publicly taken away by this person who is not even going to work with them. This doesn't achieve anything. It's 2025. We are 2 years into the current military conflict between Israel and Gaza. Everyone has an opinion and everyone is aware of what is happening. In October 2023 Rosalia posted something that brought attention to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza: https://x.com/updaterosalia/status/1949975011768303895 12
Decodekid 28,354
Genuinely asking, what is he doing in favor of Palestine outside social media? Cause celebrity gossip just feels performative and non effective for these causes, I’m sorry Long Live Gretchen 13
NemoMyName 861
It doesn't feel performative, it is performative. No artists can do anything, this a political and power stuff. This stopped being a "right side" or "awareness" thing long ago, we all know what is happening and how horrible it is. But artists can do nothing, harass your politicians, people with real power. Rosalía can't do **** about it. 11

I think what they meant is that Rosalia personally making a statement now isn't necessarily going to be very impactful considering the fact that, yes, whether you like it or not, everyone does have an opinion on the situation and Rosalia is unlikely to really change anyone's mind 2 years into the conflict. I'm not sure what anything @Morphine Prince said warranted such a critical response but all they were pointing out is that artists are powerless in this specific situation and there isn't really much "raising awareness" that can be done since pretty much everyone is aware of the situation at this stage – so then what would a statement from Rosalia achieve exactly? Yes, an opinion. Are you aware that facts don't matter if someone doesn't believe them? We can repeat what is happening is a genocide 24/7 and there will always be people who don't believe that. I'm not sure why you felt the need to personally attack me, but you need to reassess what was said. To this very day Turkey denies the Armenian GENOCIDE they carried out. Their OPINION is there was no genocide. My point was, at this point EVERYONE has an OPINION on Gaza. Nicklev 1,055
I've noticed that in many Lady Gaga's related posts on IG there are people claiming that she is a Zionist. How do you feel about that? Edited July 29 by Nicklev
RaveMonster 186
This isn’t just performative but also unprofessional. Just tell them directly that you won’t work with artists who aren’t Palestine advocates and move on, posting these emails literally does nothing. This screams “look at me, I’m a good person!”

Just post that you only work with those that publicly support Palestine. 2

Monstermilo 4,628
i am really disappointed gaga hasnt spoken out against the genocide but i feel like i know where he heart would lie so i choose to not freak out about it 1
LilyLark 10,106
Except she did post from stuff from UNICEF about kids starving in Gaza back in 2024, so I don't understand..unless he wants her to talk more? It's a genocide, but I really don't get people who get upset at popstars.... Get angry at politicians and billion dollar businesses that invest in Israel. A popstar isn't going to change anything...people are already "well" aware of the genocide. Frankly, many of the popstars like Gaga, Taylor, Beyonce likely aren't even that educated on it. Gaga knows a lot about gay rights, Beyonce Black and gay rights, etc.....but i don't expect them to know much about Palestine. Unless someone is actively supporting Israel since 2024, I just....don't care that much if they say something or not. I do care if it's a politician. Getting upset about actors or singers not saying anything-when we are all aware of the genocide- just seems like a very shallow take on activism. Also, while I don't really buy that Gaga, Bey, Taylor, etc. have great takes on Israel, I also doubt they support the country. MANY people have changed their view on Israel in the past few years. I think it would be nice if Gaga or Bey said something (I think Gaga's team letting the pro Palestine fan message through was her very low key attempt at it, but that was very minor), but again, I'm not going to get upset if they don't. FfFfFfFF 56,116
Why criticize American politicians directly involved in creating and mentaining the genocide when he can criticize Spanish pop stars? In addition, Spain is a country that shows support for Palestine.
