Thats awful and one of the early signals that we will regret not doing more about in a few years when AI takes fully over everything. Soon the entire magazine, including photos, graphics, and any text, will be made by AI...

But lets be real for a bit, its not like beauty magazines have ever represented "Reality". Most photoshoots like those have always been more photoshop than real person.

The sales department did so, who will be in deep trouble if they cancel an advertiser. Money goes over norms and values in such cases.
