Laverne Cox Under Fire For MAGA Romance

The "Orange Is The New Black" star is facing criticism online, after a recent interview where she opened up about her romantic life, and revealed that she dated a Trump supporter for years: 

Laverne described her ex as a "blonde, blue-eyed, republican voter, who is a police officer". The actress clarified she still feels love towards her former lover, although fans online seemed disappointed that, in the current political climate, she would seemingly romanticize the idea of dating someone in the far right. 

She later on took to Instagram to adress her audience's concerns, by insisting her ex should not be dehumanized because of his political views, and that she was deeply in love. The couple met on Tinder. 

Soooooo, how are we feeling about it besties?  I thought it was an interesting conversation, because I see this narrative online, within progressive spaces, that straight white men are all sorts of repulsive, but then when nobody's watching... the gworls are lusting  the gworls want some of that when no one's around . 

Do you guys think it is wrong for Laverne to associate romantically with a MAGA cop?  should we be more tolerant towards conservative men, and embrace them with our coochies? . I personally don't think I could date someone who voted... like that  but I am me, Laverne is Laverne, it's a free world, it is what it is .

The only thing I found crazy is how she seemed to fetishize the idea of him being a white conservative cop. It was a flex to her, which makes me think she has some internalized issues to look into. 

There is NOTHING wrong about her being attracted to a blonde, blue-eyed guy. But when she sees that, and the fact that he is a maga cop, AS A PLUS  that's a little weird gworl .

That too . I know for a fact he was hot as hell, and she was living her Taylor fantasy. I have my conservative boyfriend gurl, I don't care about anything on this world, she was baking pies and cleaning the house for that man . I don't even need to see a photo of him, I already know he was conventionally attractive by all standards, LMAO.

You'd be surprised about how many conservative men are either chasers, or completely forget about their hateful stances when they meet a cute femboy or a hot t-girl . I would honestly say half the men that approach me online are conservative leaning.
