If I remember correctly there were some sales shenanigans with Dope. :max:
It was an available free download to people who bought an apple product or something that week? Truly that was not what it was, but something of that nature.
If I continue to remember correctly Madonna stans were falling overthemselves to criticize Gaga's marketing techniques and chart manipulation :max:

girl (most) madonna stans are the physical manifestation of greed, dont you know that she created everything?

happy 1k rep to me

I couldn't find anything about it online, only that it became available for purchase as a digital download on November 4, 2013. But the stan war seems pretty accurate :ladyhaha:

As far as I remember, it went like this: Dope was performed on a YouTube event back in 2013 (very moving and deep performance by the way) and said event was live streamed. Then, parts of the event/performance were also played on YouTube as an ad, so it counted as streams for the song and helped it peak inside the top 10.

I'm like 80% sure it happened like this but who really knows what tricks our memories plays :huntyga:

Yes.
Dope was performed on a Youtube event and Youtube made the performance an ad and as much as I remember you couldn’t skip it ( or the first 15-30 seconds) so all the streams counted for Billboard hence why the relative high peak for a non single

Does anyone know which countries view music videos the most? Apart from India

I remember back in the late 10’s the Latin videos used to get a lot of views, but even those markets seem to have shifted toward streaming platforms instead

I’d assume SEA probably make up a huge chunk, with the likes of BTS gaining lots of views, and it’s no coincidence than APT and DWAS are in the billion club, considering they were super major international hits, not just in the western markets

Hopefully Dead Dance gives Abra a boost as well so it can stay in the global 200 for another month or two

lady gaga x dress to impress have surpassed 700,000 user sign-ups less than a day after the announcement of the game’s biggest event yet.

Maybe this helps Abracadabra to gain a few positions on Spotify
