ARTPOP: 29 weeks (Peaked at #1)

When I look at this I understand why ARTPOP 'floped' even though it was still pretty successful. Wasn't it the 5th most consumed female album of 2013?

29 weeks tho... that would be like if MAYHEM fell off the charts in 2 weeks  - meanwhile its in the top 20 atm

Do we have an updated estimate of how much the Mayhem Ball will gross?

I see on Wikipedia that it already grossed 82M dollars

This is my conservative estimate:

Japan: 30 Million

Australia: 40 Million

Europe: 60 Million

North America: 170 Million

I think $300 million is very doable

The Fame gets help charting because all streams/sales for TFM also contribute to TF charting. There is some weird Billboard loophole where they add both of the albums together. Its bc they consider tfm to be a deluxe extension of The Fame (even though its an entirely separate LP)

So when The Fame charts its because it has 7 smash singles contributing to its units.

Gaga is more in longevity transition now. Not to justify her underwhelming peaks on Hot100 but overall MAYHEM is doing strong even in the US even with Abracadabra that is + 2x Platinum eligible. The album run in Hot 200 will probably be one of her best.

Anyway we really should move on from the perspective she's a top 10 contender. Those will be more occasional now

C2C charted longer than fricking ARTPOP?? :enigma:

C2C was really successful at that time, especially considering it was a Jazz album in modern era Billboard 200

It seems more like her team and herself don’t really think it’s that important. Abracadabra and TDD were not released with a full tracking week and Abracadabra could have easily be a top 5 and TDD with a little push could maybe squeeze into top 10.

I mean it was a big deal. A #1 debut for a jazz album by an MPG. More or less unprecedented.
