#66(-14) TDD - 1,803,643

So what do you think is that big revival upon us? It's not over yet right?

We say this everytime the writing is on the wall and think it will somehow miraculously turn around. Myself included and i get disapointed, this time ill choose not to be delulu. Its falling every week cycle, thats a fact.

The only hope realistically is if radio seriously picks up and reinfuses it with more promo (which sometimes it can despite innitially fizzling out streams). But its not likely tho. The other possibility is that they do more promo for it and this time with some base already of people who like it, it reaches a threshold to take off, but again doesnt seem likely they are going to promote it even more

They put it on playlists, a radio deal and put out ads on spotify and made a tik tok page for it... if it was going to connect more it would be taking off. If its not taking off now its not going to take off later

Ppl clearly like the song enough casually (as in if its on the radio they wont switch the station) and good shazams prove theirs at least some interest. But for whatever reason its not sticking to people quite enough for them to go and stream it themselves

Im also of the opinion that a tik tok page and spotify ad is something they should not have done immediately. The playlists and radio deal sure thats beneficial to do right away for a solid start... But the Spotify ad and tik tok page I think they put up way too early to try and force virality and it felt too forced. They should have waited a few days (or a week) for more people to actually see the scene on the show, learn the song and allow more internet tik toks to start organically. Releasing those ads to push you to do tik toks or reels when most ppl still didnt know the song imo was a mistake. They should have done that relatively early still but not that early imo

Success is a very complex thing and depending on what you consider successful we will all have different opinions.

On its own, TDD is flopping despite what some might wish. No, it won’t rise with Halloween either.

Compared to other artists, it’s doing more than fine. Doja flopped, Ed flopped, Cardi flopped, everyone is flopping like their life depends on it. TDD at least had some muscle compared to others

If you take into account optics for Mayhem, TDD reactivated the era, gave us a new performance, and promoted the album, which did grow from 6M to a peak of 11M daily (currently 9M). All of this right before Grammy nominations are decided. Strategically it accomplished something great, and honestly? THIS is the real success right here, to get the album’s critical acclaim back and running.

So yes, commercially this song flopped a bit, but it’s not without its accomplishments

If it doesn't take off organically, it's done and that's okay. We got a great VMA performance and video. I hope her label picks singles with the strongest choruses and relatability in the future.

No, it's not over yet. :deadbanana:

And not really sure want do you want, other MAYHEM tracks would have flopped much worse, be thankfull for the +3m peak and top 10 global hit.

And who knows, halloween might help, we cant predict the future.

Honestly it's difficult to predict how a single performs these days.

You mentioned about they shouldn't have made a Spotify ad and forced tiktoks instead of waited a few days (or a week) for the song to grow organically, but they did the same with Disease too, they waited for its moment but it never happened.

Abracadabra also had a massive start due to its promotion in the Grammy's but it spent most of its chart run in the #20s and #30s, even DWUW spent more weeks in Top 20. Yet it is still one of the most successful singles released by a female artist in 2025.

Nevertheless TDD is still performing way better than the new releases right now.

I mean anyone with a brain and one working ear at the label should've seen GOE and VIY as sure-fire singles. :Cautious: Even if it flops, those two had the strongest chance of success given their catchiness and relatability. They pull out all the stops for the wrong stuff (not talking about TDD because that is fully funded by Netflix and at least they gave our girl a shot with the song they secured).

I'm really hoping Netflix uploads her Copacabana performance for streaming. Or the Mayhem Ball Tour. I need people to make more noise about the LARGEST concert of the 21st century and the LARGEST by a female ever.

When I started thinking about it……we used to dream for times like these :ladyhaha:

A solo Gaga dance-pop single being immediately sub-powered on Z100, top 20 on pop and HAC radio within 2 weeks, semi-viral on TikTok, peaking in the top 15 on Global Spotify and in the top 75 almost three weeks after release….hell I’ll take it for a fourth single within a year

I’ll start taking a shot every time someone comments “it’s over/not over” just to feel something
