Cardi did amazing on Apple Music Global but only debuted 1 song outside Top 100 on Spotify Global.

Apple Music really is so hip-hop dominated. I was surprised when multiple MAYHEM tracks actually charted during debut week. OH MAYHEM GLOBAL HIT ALBUM.

Cardi having 13 tracks in the top 15 of US apple music and struggling to chart on spotify is wild. I wonder why hiphop/RnB/Rap fans prefer AM so much more to spotify. Kinda crazy. Her lead single - outside went top 10 in the US, has 30M streams on spotify after 3 months, is gaining less than 200k streams daily and is still charting. How strange.

Reminds me of Megan. She seems to never do all that well on spotify but is still considered a major success. Must be because of Apple Music.

I think the thing we should focus on atp is TDD making it to 20 weeks on the chart. I think this may be an uphill battle  bc the christmas freeze is going to kick in around week 15 which will knock the song off the chart. Its unclear if it will be able to come back from that. 

 

But 20 weeks on the chart is the goal. I believe abra spent 90% of its time in the top 50 if not all of its time. Don't see why TDD cant bop around on the lower half of the chart for 5 months.

Im gonna keep talking about other artists atm bc I find it interesting. 

I can't believe the chart run for Chappell's new single. Her last single too. The Subway has absolutely zero radio support. The song peaked at 3.45 AI in the US. Its so good and clearly it started off strong with the streams. I understood people no liking The Giver bc its very different from her other music. But The Subway is ear candy.

This. It currently has 150,000,000 streams and zilch as far as radio. Radio’s unwillingness to pave way for new tracks is so frustrating.

Is there any chance for "The Dead Dance" to catch on again? I mean, the song gets catchier every single time I hear it. And when Halloween comes, it'll get its moment. 🎃
