And reminder that Abra took 1 month to truly take off on TikTok, this is just beginning for TDD and with Halloween season approaching I can see TDD doing even better than Abra on TikTok tbh.

So, this is the first time I track a TikTok song like this, the drop in views and likes can very well be Sunday being a slower day on TikTok, much like Spotify is, let's see if this picks up tomorrow, because the number of videos remains consistent.

I'm also curious if the same happens in the next weekend. 

And I realize this should be the monday update but i'm pretty sure the stats are delayed 2 days (minus the videos).

I think the general public is so fragmented that it’s impossible to serve the masses, so now the only people listening to anyone’s song is their core fanbase, which isn’t big enough to achieve high numbers anymore.

We seriously need to start shifting importance from the Hot 100 to the a global chart. Its just not logical to have the US have the most weight and prestige when there is a chart measuring GLOBAL impact. Besides, at this rate with how fractured the media and music is becoming, it’s more telling how successful a song is GLOBALLY than in one sole country.

Total YouTube views for TDD outside YouTube music is 29M views  (combining the MV, official audio and unofficial uploads) but the number on YouTube music is 34M.

100% sure... You missed the "even unofficial uploads" part.

They count every audio, lyric video etc. that are linked (copyrighted) to the song, meaning UGC. Marry The Night MV doesn't count for MTN, because it's linked to the radio edit version. You can see that in the MV description.

This, especially since it makes no sense for non US artists to be referred to the Hot 100. Like when people go “Justin Bieber has X number of #1 songs” I’m like “what does it even mean, he’s from Canada”
