If it had landed on those people underneath, there would've been pandemonium. Nothing's gone wrong with it all this time so I don't know what went wrong now. I think this is one of the parts of this show that's actually pretty cool and I'd love for Gaga to do something similar so she can get right up among the crowd so you can get close to her even if you're sitting. I'm honestly glad Gaga didn't add anything like this to her show. They're amazing but the risks are not worth it, to the performers and to the public. Franch Toast 26,878 Posted July 20 Share Posted July 20 For those mentioning it, Gaga did do flying props for Enigma ("Just Dance" when she entered the theatre by flying down, and "Paparazzi" in the flying basket thingie). They're fun and are a great way for people in the balcony seats to get close to the artist, but when they malfunction, it's scary and dangerous. Glad Katy and everyone else was okay. She primarily uses actual circus performance set ups (and has done loads of gymnastics & circus training over the years) and her props for performances like Sober on the Funhouse tour/Truth About Love Tour or Try on her Summer Carnival tour in 2024 are all pretty standard cirque du solei style props. She even gets actual trained crews and dancers in for these specific things (like the Trustfall dancers being a specific troupe that focuses on that trampolining). I'd be willing to be Katy/Beyonce etc, given the props they're using have just used their usual touring procedures and teams.
