These flying props are so scary. Much as I want to see Gaga up close if I were in the stands, I'm okay with her not doing this.

That's why I appreciate the camerawork on The Mayhem Ball and the live feed on the LED. You get the satisfaction of watching her up close, and it's even so cinematic, even if you're far.

i feel sorry for her & hope she’ll disappear for a while after her tour… just to have a longer break & hopefully have a comeback some day with somewhat of a success again. (And she’ll hopefully learn from her mistakes)

It's not as dangerous as it looks.

You can see where the prop attaches to the wire above.

Before the scary looking jerk/drop, the rolling mechanism gets caught on an inconsistency on the crosswire or the wheels got jammed a bit. Not unusual with hanging props, just obviously not something you want as the prop might hit something when it moves erratically.

Low risk event, the butterfly wasn't gonna fall.

Simply looks terrifying because a large object in the air suddenly drops quickly in an unexpected manner.

 

Edit: Less likely but more dangerous possibilities:

1) The mechanism holding the wire slipped, causing the whole thing to drop (highly dangerous, unlikely given there is no ripple effect across the wire)
2) The wire was caught on something and dropped (EXTREMELY dangerous, again unlikely because we don't see a rebound bounce along the wire)

I hate to see flying props. You can see the strings and the enture mechanism that holds it. I wish performers would stop using them now that they keep malfunctioning.

Katy doesn't feel like they're mistakes though, is the issue. She blames the people who try to hold her accountable for even having those views/thoughts in the first place.

Being unable to feel remorse and believing everything in life just happens to them are two signs of a narcissist. And while I'm not saying she is one, I do find it to be a red flag. At some point we have to take some accountability as adults.

These things are a LOT more safe than they seem to many people, but that's still a scary thing to be on/under.
