The first half is pretty much the same then it changes pretty significantly

and for the best. The first half is TIGHT and really great between hits, Mayhem, and songs fans love. great first half and everyone should experience it. I like that she felt the second half could get some more work on it.

Also what is up with that outfit during HBDYWM??? It looks like she was getting undressed nad ready to chill than just popped back out for one more song :abra: Also glad I predicted Summerboy would be in the show. :traumatica:

Spoiler

That is exactly what it was! the screens showed a live camera feed of her and her dancers backstage getting out of costume at the end of the show then followed her back onto the stage while singing HBDYWM

oh ok. that makes more sensne. but is also a bit of a weird choice ... like why did they do it? and is it related to the message of the song somehow?

also do you know how often she was out on that little bean stage? my seat is in front of it so i'm hoping she's on it quite a bit

This is how I interpreted it - the removal of her wig and costume could be seen as a symbolism for vulnerability, transformation, authenticity... shedding the "pop star" persona. The song is about her fear of partners (fans in this case) wanting a "good girl" version of her that doesn't really exist. I saw the visual with the lyrics as a challenge to fans, do you still want me when the glitter and glamour are gone?

By putting on the Cramps T-shirt (known for their raw transgressive style, a far cry form the polished word of stadium pop) she is aligning herself with counterculture, outsider energy, reminding us of her art-school roots and subversive leanings.

You say you want me? Prove it. Want me when I'm real.

It was kind of emotional seeing her in this state (without heels and wig, you see how tiny she actually is!) and it humanized her in a way that made me think about the "weird girl with a dream" and how she is still there and is the driving force behind the Gaga persona we all know and love.

Also did people forget about her changing on stage at the art rave? It's not exactly the same but similar

Maybe unpopular opinion but I don’t like the new trend of using live camera feed as backdrops. Everyone started doing that. I miss backdrops videos for each song, they elevate the show so much.
