It's not a cover, it's pastiche. I'd feel a bit insulted too if I were the original artist, Kim kept it really classy.

this is a PR stunt, not  covering a song she loves. she started performing this song as she began dating this guy she met in Big Brother. in the live version JoJo sings 'Chris Hughes eyes' but she couldn't release cover with changed lyrics.

Not really... It was messy because she used the concept from her original performance. Tbh, she should've performed her set and then a song as a tribute to him. There was no need to change things, Idk what was she thinking
