Cavadour 2,349
Never liked the blorf bass drum and the annoying backing gimmick. The song reached a momentum though with the Chromatica medley at the 2020 VMA. I could finally find a way to like it during the Chromatica ball, watching it on YT, date after date. But that's it. I always found the mv cheap and borderline ridiculous. Late to the party but I got a diamond heart
SEANGT 5,252
production was amazing, which is why it went top 10. Everything else about it was evidence that Gaga's heart wasn't fully in it, in my opinion. She was still healing. I remember in interviews she said things like "this time i had no ego" in reference to working with collaborators and letting them take control more. Also remember her saying that bloodpop had to beg her to go into the studio. Now we see her skipping the entire album in the latest setlist. I don't think she really cared about this album. Dutchmonster92 163
Oh I love the video and the song, never understood the hate it gets 😅
Joshua81 245
Gaga has produced all her songs since The Fame Monster. Chromatica is the only album she didn't produce (aside from the interludes). So that says a lot...
Bronco 10,775
By Gaga standards, the music video is terrible. But realistically its an okay music video. The main detractor is how cheap it looks. The song is definitely over hated by this fanbase though. Its not her strongest, or even the strongest on chromatica. But its a good song. I don't understand why everyone just says it looks cheap. It's camp, and I feel it's in the style she wanted it. Gaga had just gotten done with ASIB and Shallow, it's not like she had a budget issue. I feel like if it were just cheap, the color grading, cinematography, outfits, music, and promo material wouldn't have been as cohesive as it was. 1

And while there are definitely nods to that in Gaga's work. Including in the video. A piece swim suit made of neon pink metalic spandex which looks like an off the rack from primark ain't camp. That's just cheap.
RudraCNG 14,967
I really enjoy the song. Video is embarrasing tho.
Freud 5,663
At times it feels like a caricature of a Lady Gaga song, rather than a real Song released by the real Lady Gaga, but I can't deny the vibe and uplifting energy this song has on me. The Live Version > Studio Version As a 90's kid that grew up watching power rangers, I actually love the camp, desert aestehtic. It's a fun song, no need to give it a deep video. A bit more Storyline would have been cute though 1
Lucas 26,691
Only the pre-chorus is good. To me this is Gaga's worst lead single and one of her worst tracks. What makes it worse for me is that the song was created by Gaga, Max Martin and Bloodpop, and THIS is what they came up with? And the video is tragic. 2

Raivo 181
I love when it comes on on the radio or in the club. Agree that song is better than video. Somehow the coloring looked messy in the video and something seemed off. I always wished she would include the other 2 promo videos she released from the video and made an extended version.
princedeeblebleble 1,551
It's an ok album track, thou I preffer the Ellis remix, it's much more interesting as a song. ROM should have been the 1st single followed by Free woman and Replay or Enigma. The video though... I only dislike Million reasons more :p it was like a Lady Gaga parody instead of a propper Gaga video.
