Yea being a child star is awful and he's been through a lot of scheiße.. but a lot of his behaviour was just awful. And he doesn't make good enough music for me to seperate the art from the artist. 

A lot of this is just him being a stupid kid/teen exacerbated by the spotlight and his formative years spent in an industry hungry to cannibalize people imo

Being rude to his wife is something for his wife to handle and she seems pretty content

I find his character at least surface level interesting enough to get invested in the music that I do like  

Not defending any of that though. If it's a deal breaker for you and you don't even like the music anyway then...I mean, that's valid

To me it is messy, disjointed, obscenely preachy and self indulgent as well as offering this bizarre repetitive 80s RnB sound, which I usually love, but it is so oversaturated and lyrically awful I ended up hating it. The first song is the only half decent attempt, I don’t get how this can be seen as good especially by a supposed large artist, deservedly low marks IMO.

I have no want to hear any of this but thought I’d share my homegirl who grew up a BIG JB Stan and even had a JB themed bday party 2 years ago said this feels like SZA rejects and “swag” itself is nowhere to be found on the album. She was hoping for Boyfriend JB. So I had 0 inkling to listen before but even less now 🥴

I dont think its the industry´s fault, or him being a child star. I think thats a myth caused by some bad apples. The fault belongs to all the adults that surrounded him and enabled him instead of guiding him, including his parents who threw him to the wolves.

Recently when that video about him and Diddy spending 48 hours alone came out, I wasnt only worried about the obvious implications, I was concerned that a 15 year old was allowed to spend 48 hours alone with a 37 year old man who promised him a "wild night out". Why the heck was this allowed? Where were his parents?? 

Or when he was caught with a brazillian prostitute at 18-19... its not like he found her himself, he obviously had it arranged..

Plus all the drugs that reached him, which most likely arrived long before he was 18, like on that wild night with Diddy, its not like he went out to a street by himself to buy them.. 

Noone ever stopped him, noone ever guided him, they all just enabled him, probably to keep him making money.             

Justin could have had the same level of success but staying sane and not doing any of those things, if only he was surrounded by better people and had parents that gave a damn....
