Mama collected, treasured, caressed, pondered 'pon, coveted and WORSHIPPPED those wondrous glassy orbs. She smelled them, she tasted them, she swallowed them so that they may forever be a part of her. She had some surgically implanted into her chest, so that they may be close to her heart. And still, in her loneliest hour, she finds herself in deep contemplation of her childhood marble companions and feels for their smooth cold hard density in the small of the night- fingertips outstretched, grasping - but never reaching...
