ThisGuyTony 29,928
Slant: 2.5/5 “Throughout Period, though, Kesha seems torn between resurrecting the unruly spark of her early work or continuing in a more introspective, experimental direction, a la 2023’s Gag Order. The results are, at times, perfectly listenable, but the sheer amount of visible flop sweat pouring from these 11 tracks is nothing short of distracting.” https://www.slantmagazine.com/music/kesha-period-album-review/ Rolling Stone: 4/5 ”KESHA’S NEW RECORD IS A MESS, IN A GOOD WAY The pop rebel’s first album as an independent artist, (Period.), has a wild try-anything spirit. Kesha’s taste for pop experimentation is in full flower on (Period.), her indie debut well-timed to the long-brewing mainstream break of the hedonistic, neon-hued, kitchen-sink genre known as hyperpop. “ https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-album-reviews/kesha-period-review-1235377454/
HeavyMetal Halcyon 1,724
I went to her show last night in Salt Lake City. Red flag is a banger. I think this album is going to slap. She also reproduced songs from her first two albums, and I really hope she releases the reproduced versions. They sounded so good. bpmMonkey 5,637
I mean, it's a Kesha album.. Most of the album sounds pretty dated, but if you enjoyed 3OH!3 in 2008 you'll have a good time with that one I guess 🤭 I still like Red Flag and spend some lovely moments with a friend of mine to Boy Crazy last weekend, so that one holds a special place somewhere in me <3 Edited July 2 by bpmMonkey
27monster27 12,981
Kesha has made multiple albums before going back to her debut sound. People complained about Katy Perry going back "too quickly", but then this happens. Women cannot win in this industry and I am tired of critics giving in to it. Where are the people on here who were calling people being upset with critics "petulant children" now? Silent, of course. Tale as old as time. he/him/his
