She gave a lot of her publishing from the Planet Her album to Dr. Luke so she didn't have to keep working with him anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if part of her doing another pop album is so she can truly move on from her first few projects. Almost like reclaiming that side of herself. She said this:

“Where I am creatively right now is based in where I was. I want to kind of swim back upstream, so to speak, and go back where I was, and just re-trim and evolve everything.” 

Sounds like she's revisiting Hot Pink/Planet Her with her evolved artistry and approach to make something she truly is proud of.

When I show up anyway and thank her for saving my life but also ask her why tf she became such a typical billionaire and tell her how much I love her but also how much I hate her and that's the real Mayhem
