From september to may it was like THE best era since BTW, but now the dead silence feels like we're back into traumatica dépression. But I guess is working on many stuff and also has to rest before the start of the mayhem ball

The album grew on me a lot (I hated it on the first listen). My three faves will always be the three singles though.

The couple weeks leading to the album release were exciting with the interviews and so on, and the Art Of Personal Chaos was wonderful, but then… crickets. I’m sure the tour will be great but in terms of ERA, I’m still very hungry. Eras aren’t what they used to be though.

I feel you but not everyone can go to the shows. Either because it’s too far or too expensive (or both). Actually, most people can’t go.

So yeah, unless there’s an official HD livestream, I personally could hardly care less about the tour.

I feel that too, like I enjoy Mayhem but it just feels like a bunch of songs put together. I never really play it front to back like Chromatica. Still a solid album but not my fave, the flow feels kinda anticlimactic.

It's interesting that y'all feel this way 'cause Mayhem is one of the three albums I'll actually listen to front to back (except for DWAS, I remain a hater)  

I think it flows so seemlessly, especially when you add in the bonus tracks.

Heavy pop (Disease, Abra, GoE) to heavy rock (PC) to lighter rock (CSTH) to rock/funk (Killah) to disco/funk (ZB, LD) to pure disco (HBDUWM) to disco/pop (DCT, KFL) to pop (SOAM) then a nice wind down to the end of the album (TB, BOG).

Every song has something sonically similar to the one before and after it, like they're each a bridge while also being their own little piece of work.

Honestly, the only album that flows better imo is Joanne and that's mostly due to how I interpret the album as a whole personally

I mean, tbf, I didn’t say I didn’t like/think the tracklisting worked and I agree that the vibe progresses, I just initially thought that a couple more songs in each style could’ve rounded it out  I also listen to it in sequential order, tho admittedly lately I have been listening w/o LD + DCT + BOG (and subbing HM). I def see the vision, but I think initially I wanted to linger in some of the vibes a little longer.

we've had it way better than some of her peers' stans, we are not in 2010 anymore, count your blessings!

How am I going to dodge all of the SPOILERS from all of the shows before my tour date? She released 3 music videos from the album that I am very happy with! An amazing coachella set and brazil. I hope there is a bigger difference between those performances to the tour, to feel connected wiith us the fans and her.

I’ve moved on and will check back in if she does something exciting , I’m excited for the tour

for me DWAS was never apart of this era.

disease was good. Abracadabra BLEW ME AWAY completely. Greatest thing she’s done since BTW.

and then the album itself was good too, however it did not blow me away the way that abracadabra alone did.

so yes mayhem had its run for me. But I am excited for the tour, 

But it does feel like the quickest era yet .

they got their big hit with DWAS and not much other musical competition this year so I think they’re kinda ready to wrap up and move on and enjoy their success

That is what I was wanting with this album. 

I’m not mad we didn’t get it- I’m just not listening to the album cause it’s not something I feel drawn to listen to, like abracadabra had me so captured.

Honestly, fed but hungry.

The era started HORRIBLY with the strange release of disease + the music video 5 days later + no promo at all for that (even though I loved the song and video)

The we suddenly got abracadabra and I was shocked and well fed but yet again no promo at all and I admit I had the biggest meltdown ever at snl 50. she basically ignored abracadabra until a month later when she released mayhem and we got proper promo. SNL, interviews, little monsters press conference… all great.

then the wait between that and coachella didnt feel as long because we were well fed.

Coachella was her best show ever and she fed us every week for like 5 weeks.

And then here we are with a tour that will also probably be amazing starting in a few weeks. Tbh, I wish we had a music video in the meantime, or at least at some point… but I think thats going ot be difficult with the tour. 

Zombieboy and GOE deserve nusic videos, the things she could do…
