LOVEDRUG 10,583
I was there. The show was amazing, she sounded fantastic, the staging was really cool, but the setlist was extremely poor. The energy was insane during songs like Ultraviolence (I've never heard a crowd shout the jazz singer, cult leader part so loud) and Born to Die, but you could literally feel the energy in the room vanishing whenever she said she was going to perform a cover or an unreleased track. I find it hard to believe that nobody on her team's taken the hint when hundreds of people were leaving their seats to go and get a hot dog or a vodka and coke whilst she was performing yet another country cover? Cut the unreleased tracks and country covers and add Blue Jeans, National Anthem, West Coast, Cherry, Venice Bitch, Doin' Time, A&W and Say Yes to Heaven. It's honestly insane that she's doing a stadium tour and not performing them. Adding those tracks alone would've kept the crowd's energy consistently high, and that's without even considering fan favourites or album tracks. 3

They are definitely more expensive than what I paid for past Lana concerts, including her BST gig that had 20 songs on it, and than what I paid for previous Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Gaga concerts. But they are also cheaper than what I had to pay for Beyoncé and Gaga's latest tour. It's still a lot of money to ask for to have people travel to stadiums far out of town just for 15 songs though. You're sadly delulu if you think Lana cares about what her fans want at this stage she is known to consistently cackle and do exactly the opposite of what fans want from her lol

The staging looks great, but she's not a stadium type of performer. She's reserved and her songs aren't suited for the venue. ngl the googling lyrics bit is kinda iconic, especially in a stadium with bad network. but agreed, i think the label got greedy because she never tours so decided to shove her into a stadium to try and recoup some of that lost tour money. the tour also didn't sell out, despite no newspaper caring about that or calling her a flop for it – evidence that she probably would've been fine in arenas.

Concert tickets definitely have gone to ridiculous prices in recent years. I remember seeing Beyoncé AND Jay-Z for £80 in a stadium in Paris in 2014. The same seat costed £250 this year. But I remember seeing Rep Tour at Wembley for £55 too. Charging £100+ for nosebleeds should be illegal imo. I was planning to NOT go because I was salty for her cancelling the C2C show in London I had paid a lot of money to go too. Then she cancelled the Paris dates and rescheduled them and I was like "GREAT SHE WON'T CANCEL TWICE". And then she cancelled them due to "illness" (but really she was just wanting to film ASIB) And then the CBT happened and that was scheduled right during a pandemic (kinda a delulu move tbh) so of course those shows also got rescheduled I love Gaga but she is the most inconsistent artist to see live and I'm praying nothing gets cancelled on the MBT 1
