That will end badly for them.

Their navy will be obliterated by the US and they won't have a navy anymore.

I wonder if the cult really cares, i feel like trump can do anything :messga:

but this is a poor decision imo and it won't make them any friends, it even hurts china and much of the world, nobody will be angry at the US for solving the problem if it comes to that.

I mean, next week gasoline will increase by 8 cents per liter here, it can't possibly be increasing more (since i have drivers license i never seen a 8 cent increase lmao)

Today on this forum, I called Hilary Clinton a war criminal, and someone accused me of being sexist. The cult heavily exists on this side too! The idea of calling Obama a war criminal is a taboo subject, and people will make insane excuses and be offended if you bring it up.

If Iran wants to be freed, they will, on their own. People in power are dethroned all the time.

The Taliban controls Afghanistan, even after the US presence for 20 years.

This is contradictory.

I get that the US shouldn’t be bombing or regime changing other countries but that’s not to say humanitarian aid and a shift to spreading democracy should be avoided.

So USAID should also stop so that millions die from disease and starvation?

I feel like no one is calling out how reckless the iranian government has been with their self sabotaging "clapbacks" and i say this because the consequences of isreal and U.S foreign interference has been so clearly spelt out on this thread at least.

At the end of the day they cant overpower either nations military  and will have to rely on their actual powerful allies. Economic warfare will backfire on their own fragile economy. So what is all this posturing for? And this kinda cuts across all players in this conflict, they are all failing their people. The global pattern of leadership failure is so crazy.

Do you know how ****ed we are if China and Russia join in? They’re big allies of Iran. This is terrifying.

Can someone who is more educated on issues like this please explain the probability of war? I’m genuinely terrified. Is it going to happen? Are we gonna be okay?

To you both in one answer:

Even though China and Russia are allies of Iran, they are mostly allies on a formal talk-is-cheap level. Russia publicly complains about the attack, but secretly, I think Putin is happy about it because:

1. It is not in Russia's interest for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.

2. It is diverting resources from Ukraine to the Middle East, and Putin benefits from this.

3. Now that the US has violated international law and attacked a country in 2025, Russia is no longer the only current aggressor state. (Although of course Russia still is much worse)

4. Oil prices are rising, and Russia, as well as the other oil-exporting countries, are benefiting most from this. Russia depends on oil prices.

And while Iran has sought ever greater integration with China, China has kept it at a "friendly distance"; they are more like moderate allies. It's more like France compared to its "ally" Ukraine: it receives aid, sporadically a few high-tech weapons, but by and large, France and China keep the good weapons for themselves and don't supply them, so as not to become a party to the war themselves.

Israel and Iran are currently at war. Iran doesn't have long-range weapons to directly attack the US in America, but it could attack US military forces in the Middle East. Iran could also attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz, making trade between Asia and Europe more expensive and complicated. It could become an energy war. However, it is not in China's interest to have the Strait of Hormuz closed. Iran and China could agree that Iran will not attack Chinese ships, although many ships from any nation could transport Chinese goods. I expect that Putin could potentially either help Iran block the Strait of Hormuz to cause oil prices to explode, OR that Putin threatens to do so but doesn't follow through if the West reduces its military aid to Ukraine but this would ocme at the expanse of Iran, then. Legally speaking, it is legal to provide arms aid to Ukraine, but it would now be equally legal to provide arms aid to Iran. The coming days will show how Russia will decide.

No one said anything about USAID or humanitarian aid. Not even sure where you got that from that response. We are discussing military operations, bombings, etc.

I think Israel is one of the few countries that the majority of the celebrities are more leaning to the right wing, the amount of praise that these idiots gives to Netanyahu is sickening.. 15 years of dumbing down the national television with reality shows and bringing in these people to the prime time.

Ok today I hate my country lol
