🩷 VAMPIRE HUNTER D: That I know of, this franchise has two movies. Based on visual novels with designs by Yoshitaka Amano, the films are visually exquisite and elegant. Dark and refined, I would recommend both film for any fan of vampire folklore. 

🖤 BLOOD THE LAST VAMPIRE: A Katana wielding highschool girl, on a quest to erradicate vampires. This one is pretty violent, and has many spinoffs and adaptations in different media (including a bizarre spinoff by Sakura Cardcaptor's creators, CLAMP). I would personally recommend the 2000 animated film. 

🩷 PET SHOP OF HORRORS: A delightfully elegant and beautifully animated short production, that tells the story of a peculiar shop that sells exotic animals, often with fatal results. The animation only has 4 episodes but it's a cult classic. 

I would recommend the manga too, as it further explores the romantic tension between Count D, the shop owner, and Leon, the investigator that's constantly after him. There is a homoerotic element that is subtle in the anime, but a little more fleshed out in the manga. 

🖤 NIGHTWALKER: Another take on the classic "vampire that hunts other vampires", with a quite charismatic cast. The protagonist and his crew, hunt down demonic creatures called "Bleed" across Japan. The character dwsigns are beautiful and the soundtrack is great. 

So that's another batch, this time a little more gothic oriented, to watch. All of those are very enjoyable. Maybe Nightwalker would be the easiest watch, as it contains more comedy relief and romantic elements. 

Pet Shop of Horrors is a GEM. Omg.

I also loved Blood+ which is related to Blood the Last Vampire.

Vampire Hunter D is on my soon to watch. I saw a clip on YouTube and was quite mesmerized by the animation.

I love the dark fantasy genre. it’s a shame they stopped making these.

I don't really do anime (or series in general honestly) but if you're looking for a short but amazing watch I'd say Edgerunners  

It's an anime set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe (love that game). When I visited LA last year I spent a whole day rotting in my hotel room and decided to binge the whole series. Ended up ugly crying

haha! there's definitely people more drawn to quick-paced action like in Solo Leveling; then there's the more story-driven Frieren but does not skimp on animation. ughhh, the labyrinth fights and the aura arc. 10/10

I love manga and anime.

And my fave list always growing with new series coming up.

my current watch are Dan Da Dan, Frieren, Kaiju number 8, Sakamoto Days, Demon Slayers, Fire Force, Dorohedoro, Apothecary Diaries, Grand Blue, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen

along with older ongoing anime that I've followed for years now, One Piece, Bleach (Thousands Years Blood War arc)

And comfort anime that I always go back to: Sailormoon, Asobi Asobase, Kill Me Baby, Hunter x Hunter, Backstreet Girls - Gokudolls-, Aggretsuko

Currently looking forward the Summer 2025 season Animes, such as Gachiakuta, new Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Futari Solo Camp, Ruri ni Houseki, and few others
