RAMROD 111,936
She announced new album today alongside the cover art earlier today And many of the reactions have been less than welcoming over the choice of cover art Some examples: Edited June 12, 2025 by artdoll (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ New York, and San Fransisco, and inter city disco (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡ 1
Ladle Ghoulash 32,110
Ngl the sexual puritanism of Gen Z is wild to me lmao. I’m not saying that the image isn’t provocative, but to claim that engaging with dom/sub gender-based dynamics in pop imagery is intrinsically misogynistic is definitely a huge stretch. But, again, the Discourse™️ is what Sabrina wanted and Discourse™️ she shall get! REALITY 78,174
I have mixed feelings because on one hand, I understand where the criticism is coming from, but on the other hand, I think we need to let more artists create the art they want. I don't like the idea of policing art, even if you fundamentally disagree with it. You can vehemently dislike it, that's fine, but I think when we start policing how artists express themselves and what they want to create, it defeats the purpose of art itself. Also...this isn't new for Sabrina...Weren't all these same people complaining about her being "oversexualized" defend her a few months ago when people were criticizing her for being "oversexualized" during her concert shows?? I don't get why it's a problem now when her brand has been this way for the past year. PartySick 164,349
Degrading? They're not even puritan, they just WANT to be offended 'cause they grew up in an age where you get the most attention by being a victim or upset. They're insecure and lonely. Right in front of the millions of people who are food insecure?!" 🥀 17

Heavy on the insecure and lonely part. I feel like so many of them, also, have just become insanely neurotic because of online mental health speak and feel the need to pathologize everything (everything’s a trauma response or undiagnosed autism or ADHD) to the point that nothing can exist in a grey area, everything has to be clearly, nearly, and correctly defined otherwise is it’s wrong in someway (and so ambiguous self-objectification and/or satire of misogyny? That’s a no-no). Generational OCD teas. Edited June 12, 2025 by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS 9
Murakami27 6,234
The image is hardly offensive. Or even that sexual. He’s barely grasping her hair with any force. These people can’t handle sh-t. For their sake, I hope they never discover Madonna’s Sex book.

timdrake 1,280
these people are so annoying. it's art, and they don't know the intention behind it. if you're offended at face value, don't buy it

Millennials were already teenagers to young adults by the time we ALL had accounts everywhere and even we're jacked up from it. Gen Z grew up online and spent their formative years in spaces our brains just aren't naturally able to contextualize or handle well without learning how to first. 🥀

Decodekid 29,050
People are trying so hard to be woke that it circles back to the other side. What happened to women expressing their sexuality? Also, even if it’s bold and “degrading” I’m sure Sabrina’s fans (the ones consuming this) are smart enough to understand the sarcasm/parody/joke around this. Plastic Flower 5,373
Scalding hot oil I didn’t exactly like the cover at first but after looking at this multiple times during the day, it’s definitely growing on me. And I’m not one to criticize nobody’s sexuality in any way. I just hope it’s a better album than S&S. Drop it
